NEW: SJO & SJO- Livestream (EN)

The “&” stands for our guests. Countless great soloists, composers and leaders have been welcomed by the Swiss Jazz Orchestra since its foundation in 2003. That would have been the plan for this evening as well. But the Norwegian trumpeter Hildegunn Øiseth had to cancel her visit due to Covid-19 – the SJO is looking forward to hopefully welcome her in the coming concert season.
The SJO offers its guests space, freedom and the stage. This spotlight should now fall on the musicians of the band: SJO & SJO stands for an evening in which our own musicians are in the spotlight. The setlist is composed of pieces that separate SJO members from the body of sound, place them in the musical center and thus make them the “&”.
